For sale 85 Jetta turbo diesel. $2500 or best offer. This is a original turbo diesel car. I'm selling this car because I just got a TDI. This car has been my daily driver, and I 've been maintaining it and fixing it up the whole time, and am currently gettting 43 mpg. I'm ASE certifed mechanic with 21 years in the business.
Rebuilt motor, overbore with Kolbeinschmidt pistons(the good ones!) , rod bearings, mains, intermediate shaft bearings, freeze plugs, (all parts OEM!)
Head rebuilt by Vee Village
Engine oil cooler (OEM)
New Bosch injection nozzles (injectors were pop-tested calibrated)
Bosch "dura-tem" glow plugs
Injection pump was resealed
All anitfreeze hoses replaced (including the T hose to the cooler that costs 80 bucks by itself)
Powersteering hoses
Clutch
Rear brakes and drums turned
Rear wheel cylinders
Rear brake hoses
Brake Master cylinder
Brake proportioning vavle
Floor pan replaced and rust repair
all new Toyo tires (good ones!)
Interior replaced with nice stuff (used)

More work has been done but I cant remember it all! I have receipts documenting all of the repairs as well, (exept for a few I may have lost).

Car runs and drives very good, after engine break in only synthetic has been used.
Car has a few problems, including but not limited too...
Doors are white (car is maroon)
Windsheild is cracked
I had AC working one summer, but freon was lost duing engine condenser removal , during engine work, I never put condenser back in because I wanted fuel mileage. I still have condenser and it could be reinstalled, and made to work.
Tach "drops out" intermittantly
Left rear door handle stuck (inop)
Car is located in Grandview, MO
Pictures show floor pan repair in progress. Doors were changed with white. Interior pic shows old door panel also. It now matches seats & carpet.
