ok i am utterly confused the more places i read the worse it gets lol.
i am running an aaz with standars injectors.
is their power to be gained here? and how?
swap nozzles for the ones from a merc?
or
swap for injectors from a 1.6 with 1.6gtd nozzles?
or
swap for injectors from a 1.6?
or
just service standard ones!
someone who is in the know please tell me which will give me the largets power gain!
everyone tells me that stock injectors and nozzles will deliver all the fuel you could ever want.
Unfortunately there's not much hard data out there.
My perspective is that the best nozzles are fresh stock nozzles, properly calibrated, and they'll flow more than enough fuel for all but the hottest bracket racer.
TDIs seem to be a bit under-nozzled from the factory and therefore appear to respond to upgrades pretty noticeably, but for our IDI heads the factory nozzle seems to be the last of our worries, from a performance bottleneck perspective.
yeah, the only reason I went with GM nozzles was the price, I was in a financial rut at that point, and $5 a piece made them worthwhile.
Sorry for the threadjack, but,
How well do the gm nozzles work?
seem to work good, its hard to tell if they are better/worse than stock nozzles because I went from stock ones old enough to drop to three cylinders at idle to the GM ones.
no issues with hanging rpm though.
right then thats decided i'lll be staying stock then. if i strip them down clean them up if their anything i need to do/watch out for while i'm their?
