Is this too hard on my car?
« on: April 01, 2009, 12:10:29 pm »
Ok so this morning the heat shields where rattling against the exhaust pipe, so i took some self taping screws and fixed it...while doing that i touched the muffler and it fell off  so there is no catalitic converter, or resinator on the car...so its a straight pipe off the turbo, will that hurt the motor, its a 1.9AAZ TD

It will increase the Benefits!

if you can live with the sound and smell of exhaust in the car leave it that way :) lool

Back pressure is not important on diesels.. the less the better.

You probably gained like 5 hp :P

I'd just put some more pipe on there so the exhaust goes out the back, just like it should. Oh, and I love the straight pipe on my TDI. Has a nice whistle at idle.
