FS: 1Z Pistons and Rods
« on: September 07, 2008, 06:49:13 am »
These came from a 1Z I tore down and rebuilt.  I used some ALH pistons I had instead.  There is nothing wrong with these.  The parts were just wiped off and have not been really cleaned yet.

Pistons: $150 shipped

Will trade for a good TDI 02A or O2J starter.

I broke an oil ring on one of the 1.7 pistons I got.

Hard enough finding pistons for a 1.7TD, not sure where to even look for rings.

I'm wondering if the TDI/AZZ oil rings will fit, first oversize is the same diameter.
What would it take for you to break a piece of oil ring off and send it in an envelope?

I can do that.  I assume anybody that would buy my pistons would be re placing the rings anyways.  Shoot me a PM with your address and I'll mail you one at no charge.   :D

Yeah, I didn't figure they would be used again,..
 for anything but scrap.

What year did the 1Z come out of?

Thanks, I hope the cross section matches.
 What diameter are the pistons?

Its a later 1Z, it had 7mm valve stems.  I don't know the year specifically. The pistons are 79.5mm.
