WTT: 1992 jetta with coilovers FOR complete IDI engine?

She does not leak anything that I can see active,
though the top of the transmission is covered with evidence of a previous leak from the side-of-the-head coolant flange. (antifreeze looks a bit rusty on the leak, but not bad in the reservoir.

Rust check is not about luck,
the car is over at my friend's shop (about 45 minutes from home)
and I will not be there until Thursday and Fri.
But I will look then.
I think the kid said the floor had a little, but then people can either think surface rust is catastrophic, or think majorly compromising the structure is "just a little spot".... I dont like to take people at their word, it is rare that they see things as I do.

Rear strut towers are perfect, from a rust standpoint,
though the passengers (?) side has been a bit deformed by over tightening of the strut bar I removed. The rubber in the strut top mount easily flexes to fit.

Driving impression:
This is tough.
The car has 185/70-14s.....  WHAT THE HELL???
and when I bought it it was WAY low on the tires.
I could not even toss it into a corner without scrubbing to all hell.
The tires are brand new, but cut on the corners bad...
Since I am putting my old coilovers on it, I can set them high or low to suit your drive home.
That being said, the brakes are really really nice!
(full GTI setup: 10.1" front w/ rear disc!)
I was going to swap them, and will if I keep the car, but If I can move it in the next few weeks, so be it!
The car does need an alignment badly (steering wheel cocked, and I can feel a lot of toe-in. I hate toe-in!).
(if I were getting it to NC on a trailer, it doesnt matter, but if I were driving, I would just agree to kill the tires in transit and get new ones when making the car road-worthy, but thats me.. i dont care!)

let me know.
I can put it on the lift and take mad pics on thurs,
but in another week or 2 I will have my motor assembled, and will be keeping this for a bit longer to further swap parts.
Thanks!
-Brad

Heres all the rust I can see:
this is at the front, under your feet in the floorboard.
Nothing major, but a little bit of attention needed
(I would POR-15 it and then hit it with Wurth SKS black, but thats me!)

Thanks,
BRAD

Heres some more pics for the potential trade!

Hopefully this can seal the deal...
we are getting closer to working out a trade for the 86 Golf NA Diesel.
