I have a virtually brand new VW turbo diesel oil pan, custom oil pressure line, custom return line, custom Techtonics Tuning 2.25" stainless steel down pipe with braided flex coupling, and very nice turbo diesel intake manifold with machined blowoff valve blocking plug that will probably mate this turbo to your 1.5 or 1.6.  It worked perfectly for mating a Garrett VNT-15 in my MK1 Rabbit.  If anybody's interested, I'll let it all go for $400.  Sorry this looks like a hijack, but if it helps sell these turbos, it's probably ok.

if this turbo is anything like my VNT, you cant re clock these bad boys. there are pins and rollers that need to be in certain places for the vanes to work. theres a round piece of metal that actuates all the vanes, and it sits on 3 rollers, and they sit on 3 pins. and they are spread apart just enough that you cant clock the turbo. maybe you could if you re clocked the whole damn vane assy?

you can reclock the turbo, but it involves precise drilling.  Tintin did it   DEFINITELY not for a novice though!!! but i bet Giles could do it

i suggest anyone to read through Tintin's whole post about an mTDI with a VNT-20.  lots of great pictures!  but its in French, so you'll need to translate.  a VERY informative read!
