well months later and i finally bought gloss black because im tired of people making fun of it being a piece of crap. Glossy paint will straighten that out a bit i think. And if i hide the dated interior with window tint. anyone know of good window tint you can buy online? Ebay obviously. any other factory outlets? anyone know brand names ect.
pics of entire paint job to come.

Yeah. I have guys at work make fun of mine because of some fading/flaking and spraybomb touchup the P.O. did. Funny but they can drive a newer vehicle with holes in the body but they figure mine looks "worse" even though it doesn't have any holes.

i picked up a power inverter and wired it into the dash in my free time.
Now i can charge my phone with my normal wall charger or charge my lap top. My lap top at full cpu speed/screen brightness draws too many watts but set to "power saver" it is within the wattage allowed by the inverter. I want a 300 watt one for the trunk. I added a second battery to the trunk also.
I got mine from canadian tire. Its supposed to plug into the cigarette lighter but i didn't like that idea so i got some velcro tape and wired it semi-permanently into the dash. it sits on the top of the cubby hole in my mk2 in front of the shifter.

oh man the painting is so hard! ive done the hood, fuel flap and rear bumper and the over spray on the plastic makes my shoes stick to it so bad it started to rip the plastic apart and out from under the items i was spraying!!! need to find a solution for that ...
this is going to look pretty odd close up. I don't have a fine enough tip ... at all....

I don't usually pick the better looking more time consuming route... lmao I like to keep it short, cheap and simple

well spraying is supposed to be faster....
like you aren't supposed to sand it much between spraying. if you choose to roll you will spend hours sanding. unless you really dont care what so ever.
i suggest NOT using a flat paint when you roll, use a gloss. unless you want it to be really rough...
my car was murderously difficult to clean and keep clean. the roughness would take your skin off so i sanded it.
