FS Mk. I rebuilt manual-trans starter
« on: February 14, 2009, 04:49:51 pm »
I have a Rabbit/Jetta manual trans. starter which I had rebuilt about 5 years ago and never used. I used to do A LOT of driving and I always had at least one starter and usually two alternators ready to go at a moment's notice.

The starter was rebuilt by a local shop which I had utilized for about 20 years to rebuild all my VW stuff and all the pickups and tractors on the farm....never had a problem with their work.

I only have Mk. II diesel cars now and I do not need this starter. I had forgotten just how big the older ones are!!! The starter has been sitting in a dry building and is nicely shiny black and silver (it was totally dissassembled, tumbled, and painted with assembly).

No guarantees on this starter...but, I never had any problems with their work over all the years. So, I am asking $45 Obama bucks and it will cost right at $20 to ship in USA for a total of $65.
I also have a used one around here somewhere that should work as it came out of the Rabbit after I managed to wreck it if anyone is interested in it. Freight is the "killer" nowdays.
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.
