No, you have to change the mount from the mk2 engine into the passat engine. If you haven't noticed the engine in the passat is 90 degrees rotated.

And the wiring isn't that hard. You just need some time. Compare the two cars wiring diaghrams and connect all necessary wires. Make sure you get the all the engine related wiring from the passat. You need the key and immo from the passat. Just tape the key to the immo reader and thats done.

Hi and thanks for the reply. When you say you have to change the mount do you mean just bolt it on or cut and weld mounts????? As the passat engine is rotated 90 degrees, will the turbo etc be in the way when the engine is put into the mk2??? Do you use the original tdi turbo and manifold or which one to use??? Does the wiring plug into the ce2 fusebox??? Cheers for the replies

The mk2 motor mount will bolt on to the passat engine. I don't remember how the turbo arrangement is done in the passat but think it will fit in to the mk2. You can always make litle adjustments. This is no problem if you are going to fit a larger turbo for the place of that tiny gt1749v and using a different exhaust manifold anyway. The wiring doesnt plug right into the mk2 fusebox buy it's not a problem. You can solder the needet wires. Mainly all ecu wiring runs in the engine bay. You need to get few wires to the inside though. Power for the ecu, IMMO, OBD wires, and some other which i don't remember right now. Compare the wiring diaghrams and it should be no problem.
