I have to agree, I had an open exhaust on my rabbit for a while, but stuck on a muffler after my first trip down to homer(230 miles) the open exhaust is fun around down but is nasty on long trips on the highway.

the new incarnation of the frankenwagen will have no muffler because I don't go to homer so much( I moved up to Anchorage instead of only being here for school)

I had a cherry bomb turbo muffler on the car and the turbo whistle was still there, but the drone was removed.

wow....

That is still just as glorious!
Ill have a resonator in my system, so hopefully it will be tolerable.

Hopefully, I will be going up to install my turbo-back in a few weeks, so Ill try to get a vid up then.
Ill have 3" SS all down the tunnel, going to 2.5" over-axle with resonator (from Techtonics) so it should be cool.

Thanks for stoking my fire!

I have a 2.5 inch downpipe pointed straight down at the ground so basically no exhaust what so ever.

When you hit anything above 10psi in a residential area you can hear the turbo just screaming against the houses!

at idle (even with a t3) you can hear it a little teeny bit and when you start to pull away you can hear it spool a lil more, then it feels like it's not there when you start to accelerate but it will very quickly make it's self known to you.
