Not to Pi** on your project, but why did you use different gauges? IMO it would have turned out better if you used all the same kind of gauges.
BTW, it's a cool idea. I like it, and have considered this myself, now that i've seen it done, I just might do it.
Because I don't have a lot of money to spend on projects. I need a car to go to school and for a bit of extra cash i can monitor the engine so hopefully it will last longer (or i can catch problems before i break things i cant afford to break)
All four gauges cost me .... maybe 110$ cdn? that includes the EGT.
matching gauges would have raped my wallet quite severely.
ps. I'd love to see matching oil pressure, boost, egt and tach gauges. Please, post a picture. (maybe something other than VDO too?)
Ahh, budget contraints. Believe me, i understand.
If I had the money to do what I want to my car, I would have one of the fastest IDI MKII's in Germany.

Also, I know how much gauges can run, if you found a good deal on them, then good for you.

Hopefully you opted for "inexpensive" rather than "cheap" because cheap gauges can sometimes be just as bad as none at all.
well i'll see soon! Going to be ready to start soon!
where did you get your pyrometer from ed? I was thinking about placing gauges where the air vents are on the drivers side/center to make them look oem.
by pyrometer is that another name for exhaust gas?
I bought all my gauges, less the tach, from prothe's site.
realized i had a picture taken with a better camera, here it is. It was to show the oil temp so thats why i don't have one of the other two. I will in the next month though!
