Well, I have been offered something that I can't really refuse as far as a newer car goes and I am considering what I would need to get rid of it that happens. The most logical choice is my b3 just because it is my daily and the car I'd be getting would become the daily as well. This car has been EXCELLENT for me in the last 2.5 years that I have had it. It has run flawlessly, consistently netting me 30mpg or better with VERY few issues apart from the normal wear and tear items. It is in GREAT shape and is the car that I was actually going to be converting to mTDI here this spring as I have been building a motor throughout the year here.
So here goes....
1991 VW Passat GL Wagon, Tornado Red, 160k, 5 speed 2.0 16v
-160k on motor, NON tweaked fuel dizzy (has never been modified), no idle, vac., etc. issues with it. Slight oil seepage from pan but that is easily fixed with a new gasket.
Additional motor info/upgrades include:
-TT 16v Chip
-Shock Therapy Wires
-New BOSCH distributor
-VR6 clutch
-Full TT exhaust with Dynomax muffler (actually getting a new one this week as the original has a small hole in it....on order)
Additionally
-Has new axles (within last two years..less tha 20k on them)
-COMPLETE new front and rear brakes (fronts are 1 year old *rotors, pads, caliper rebuilds, front wheel bearings)
-REAR brakes were done by myself in the last 3 months...less than 250 miles on them. I did a complete MKIV caliper upgrade with correct hoses, Mintex Pads, all new rotors, bearings down to the stud axles as well as new ebrake cables (both sides)
-NEW control arm bushings (1 year old...HD units)
Suspension:
-Bilsteins on all four corners in great condition
-Nuespeed springs
Exterior:
-Upgraded to full glass moonroof (complete assembly...not just the roof)
-Front bumper is the european version
-Hella DE headlights with body color bezels (also have spare DE parts as well) The DE's are also relayed with a harness that I built which made a HUGE difference in the lighting output. No cracks, etc, in the lights.
-New Windshield (1yr. old)
-Euro side markers
-Have complete THULE rack (mount, crossbars and deflector) that I will sell for an additional fee)
Interior:
-Just installed new Lock cylinder housing, ignition switch, etc. to get rid of the PO's push button ignition setup.
-Converted to black leather seats that are 9.0 out of 10 as far as conditon goes
-Have original MINT heat gray cloth seats to go with it
-ALL heat circuits still work
-CAN spec/Euro Underdash trays dyed Black (installed) Have stock kneebar as well if you want it
-Custom b3 console with totally integrated iPod dock system that is directly connected to the Aux unit on the Pioneer Stereo setup. NO wires laying around...just like docking it to a home dock system. VERY clean setup.
-Additional USB port accessible behind console for running a cellphone charger (I can charge my storm of it) or other USB device
-Intergrated Audi 3 gauge pod (reads oil pressure, oil temp and volts) works flawlessly and looks factory
-B4 armrest/storage compartment (nothing is broken

)
-B4 Console cupholder
-Audi red needles for cluster
-MKIV Shift knob and boot
-Auto-diming rear view mirror with compass....another super clean install.
I can't stand wires sticking around, etc. so when I do something I try to do it clean and complete with a really finished look. All the items in this car are that way and its the way I have always kept it.
The only thing it could honestly use is a good paint job as the tornado red is showing its age. No rust, only a few dings throughout the car, the largest being on the pass rear quarter. VERY clean body to work with.
Wheels:
Included: Stock Passat steelies with hubcaps and 4 EuroWinter studded tires (at least two seasons left in 2 of them....1 on the others...all four currently on car) EuroWinter is a Falken tire I believe...
We can talk, but I have the 17" BSA wheels with BRAND NEW, not even 500 miles on a set of Falken Ziex 912's that I could consider but will probably keep for my Corrado. Either way, they'd be additional to the asking price of the car.
Thats the deal with the car. Its inspected in NYS until Sept. of 09 and went through the last inspection with no issues whatsoever. Its a great car....all functions work, windows, etc.
The new owner of the car will also get EVERYTHING spare that I have b3 as well as all the additional pieces of have for the wagon as well
Including extra:
-Interior pieces (covers, consoles, switches, blanks, etc)
-rear cargo cover (perfect condition, gray...just don't run it all year long)
-window reg
-any 16v engine bits I can find (I have a spare ECU, freq valves, etc)
-Extra front masks (2) 1. is a very nice "bad look" one that I have been working on. Have a reiger style insert for it as well. Other is a stock one...
Don't ask "how much without those bits" as it doesn't change the prices. You just get the extras if you want them. Make some of your money back. Look at my "b3 parts for sale" ad under my sig to see what I have.
Now...some pics....

$3,000 or I consider best offers. Its well worth that with all the additional items. I have never been so happy with a car as I have with this, but the itch for something newer has me leaning and I don't take full advantage of the "wagon" aspect of it for my usage now.
Feel free to ask questions. Car is located in Elmira, NY
