starter problems
« on: June 30, 2009, 02:25:52 pm »
Hi folks

I got my rebuilt engine to behave properly - new nozzles, HT brand japanese glows and a MB, VW rigged starter - the housing, drive clutch etc are VW, the rest armature, etc is MB - The engine starts SOOOO incredibly fast its unbelieveable, - I inverted the magnets in the housing to spin it CCW (looking from snout). cost me quite some money to buy too.

I got around to fix a starting problem on a mates Fiat Uno 1.7D - it uses a valeo starter which is so angry when starting the mill it sounds like a turbine when starting, the original Bosch sounds just stupidly wheezy. I wonder if we can get some upgraded starters for our cars like the valeo or hitachi units some cars use..
