I thinking about running a k24/26 hybrid turbo. Is anyone running this setup?
How is it? How is the lag compared to a stock k24. Please post some pics and specs of your setup. Pros and cons?
Do you have to drill and tap the cold side so you can hook up the k24 watgate? If so where? Post up some pics
Does running the k26 cold side help lower egts?
it will give more air,which will lower egts.

Just to add to this question I'd be interested in knowing if the hybrids out there used the k24 turbine wheel or k26? Also if anyone has machined out the k24 compressor housing to fit the k26 wheel or just use the k26 housing.Machining both housings would be the best combo I believe and allows the turbo to be a bolt-on item with no spacers..etc.
This hybrid can be built without any machining.Just interested to hear the results as I'm sure the orignal poster is too :wink: .
I'm running a full K26(coldside and hotside) with a machined out K24 exhaust housing..I don't really have enough time in the car to give a real good opinion(stupid fiber HG)..but from what I have seen and felt in my car and Dans(zukgod1) car I would say I'm real happy with this combo...it does seem to be slightly laggy...but I never ran the stock turbo so I have nothing to compare it to...
mine is from a Audi 5000 gasser so mine is kinda a higher RPM turbo...
