WTB Floor panel 89 Golf
« on: July 15, 2005, 07:22:26 pm »
Hello, I just purchased an 89 Golf diesel that needs a new floor. The drivers seat is rocking back and forth and I would love to find at least the drivers side floor panel, I would love to find both driver and passenger side. This is a two door coupe. < newbielink:mailto:[email protected] [nonactive]>
Thanks, Regards, Mrx99

i dont think the set rocking back and forth is due to the floor being rotten. i have an 89 golf with a rotten floor aswell and both my front seats rock back and forth but because its missing the little plastic/rubber sliding mechanisims on the seat rails. i would check that first. just look for little white pieces on the part of the seat that lies in the tracks. the seat rails dont usually rot and you can usually save your floor with just a flot piece of sheet metal with rivits.

i have a 1990 jetta with excellent floors. the car is already parted out, so accessing the floors to cut them out is straight-forward. let me know if you are interested and maybe we can work something out. where are you located?
