Hi all, I got a good condition Golf 1.6TD engine for a good price. My van has a 1.6 D golf engine right now (actually, the engine is a TD engine without the turbo). Now I need to swap in the 1.6 TD engine, but I've been told that some problems might occur with engine mounts - the turbo or something would interfere with the left engine mount?
Has anyone done a swap like this before and what do I need to deal with here?
I have some pics of the engine (not very good, i took them with my mobile), and the only markings that I found on the block head was: 068 103 347 40 80, the turbo is a K14...
btw - i live in eastern europe, so I cannot get any parts from us.

Anyway, there are several guys on here with Vanagon installs. Use the search funtion and you'll find them easily.
Hey, i'm from Estonia.
I have a 83' T3 vanagon. It originally had a 1.6 NA D engine, bu the engine has been replaced several times by the previous owner. The last one they put in (and is still there right now) was a 1.6 TD from a golf, WITHOUT A TURBO.
What should I search for exactly? I have found several topics about 1.9TD installs, but that's not what I am after...

Anyway - do you know where I can look up my engine code? Is that supposed to be on the engine block or the head?
