Now look at the current months stats.

November 2019      New Topics 8   New Posts  82   New Members 1433

Moderator is the only one logging serious time on this site.  About 30+ bots or spammers creating new accounts a day.

They sure aren't coming for the content.  It is as stale as 3 day old bakery.

Where is everyone?  Shopping?

...everyone is on Farcebook.  It's really sad how facebook has ruined automotive forums.  It is such a terrible way to relate this type of info.

Recently I have put about 3 to 4 hours a day cleaning all the bogus accts from here.

There were thousands upon thousands of registered bots on here.... Think about that for a minute or 3

I wish it was way more active with real beings!!

Everyone thinks that STUPIDBOOK is the answer for everything.  >:( :'(
Farcebook is great Libby!! I have another name for it but it would be censored.....

This place has tons of info!!  I frequent the same forums I always have. Rather come to forums than idiotbook.

Well guys what can I say.  FBook is doing damage.  But I will not abandon this method of commo, why would I when I drive an 81 car.  Do I NEED FB?  I actually signed up for an MK1 site to see what they have to offer that we don't and what we have that they don't.  An interesting peek.  Not a lot of history on that place nor in their members.  Total years of knowledge is likely less than what Libby alone has under his coveralls.

Thanks for a real reply to the questions.  Sorry you have to spend so many hours keeping house here Dennis.  Can't imagine what a drain that is.  Like plumbing problems in the house I guess, have to do the fix but man is it messy.

Time for a NEW POST.  Got a cool part this week I need some feedback on.

LATER.

Too true... Even I "reactivated" my "deleted" facebook account, since no one uses Craigslist anymore, & trying to move a now defunct yahoo group (Vintage Suzuki PE Dirtbikes) over to forum format has not been too terribly successfull with 100 members, vs 2,000 members on the "Farcebook Group" of the same subject matter...
Sad days, losing activity on such great informational resources to be lost in the perpetual stream of consciousness easily forgotten easily missed Facebook Groups format... It's a shame, but people do it out of laziness/convenience...

Wow!  Can't believe that three actual posts were made so far today.  Real people, real topics.  The forum has life support services working.
