If I were you, I'd fill the dome of the 1.6 bracket with weld and grind it smooth where it makes contact with the o-ring... get a new o-ring and seal it up. If you want extra assurance you can always run a bead of gasket maker around the o-ring.
And yes, the G60 does have that, it uses a simple flat plate with the O-ring to seal it!

Yeah i think after getting the excellent information here the option to fill in the groove is the best option and will have it done this weekend. That way, I know for sure the mount is exactly where it needs to be. Burn_your_money thanks for the link as well, it seems the dome is not that important and i will be sealing it off so i can get my engine in motion since this is the only thing stopping me from getting it done
okay got my bracket welded and looks great. One question, what should the torque be on the bracket bolts or at least where in the bentleys is it listed? thanks in advance
