I haven't been on this forum in a while.
anyways, last summer i'm on my way to the lumber yard to bring back a cedar 2X8X8.
and it's in the car beside me.
anyways, pull up to the lights where the highway starts and there's a debadged jetta ahead of me (about a 2000).
light turns green and everybody leaves at normal speed, I'm in a bit of a hurry so I tailgate the jetta to tell him to get into the right lane, instead I see the puff of brown smoke come out the back, (OK IT'S ON), I leave it in third and start givin her, 4th and finally in fifth, and slowly get by him, by then we're doing like 160+k and then the car goes into limp mode!!! DAMN!!!!, he goes flying by me.
As I'm about to throw in the towel, something clicked in the back of my head, (AH THE HELL WITH IT!!).
Turn off the ignition and back on. Car comes back to life and I'm off again.
He's like 20 car lenghts away but slowed down, I quickly catch up and we're going at it again.
I walk away from him in like 95F heat, It's damn hot and the veggy mobile is smoking!!
I look down only to notice I'm at 195k+ so I get into the right lane and slow down.
We give each other the thumbs up as he passes me just as I take the exit ramp.
He darts across two lanes and takes the exit with me.
he pulls beside me and I ask him if he has a VR6 cause by now I know it aint no 2.slow, "nah 1.8T" then he proceeds to ask if I have a VR6.
"NOP DIESEL" his face dropped to the floor. then I tell him I'm running veggy and his GF's face swings out from the passenger seat and she yells out "veggy, that car runnin on veggy" and looks at her BF with that "holy *** we bin had by a damn deep fryer.
It was priceless.
He gave me the thumbs up and said, "impressive man".
