Not to Pi** on your project, but why did you use different gauges? IMO it would have turned out better if you used all the same kind of gauges.

BTW, it's a cool idea. I like it, and have considered this myself, now that i've seen it done, I just might do it.

Because I don't have a lot of money to spend on projects. I need a car to go to school and for a bit of extra cash i can monitor the engine so hopefully it will last longer (or i can catch problems before i break things i cant afford to break)
All four gauges cost me .... maybe 110$ cdn? that includes the EGT.
matching gauges would have raped my wallet quite severely.

ps. I'd love to see matching oil pressure, boost, egt and tach gauges. Please, post a picture. (maybe something other than VDO too?)

Ahh, budget contraints. Believe me, i understand.

If I had the money to do what I want to my car, I would have one of the fastest IDI MKII's in Germany. :)

Also, I know how much gauges can run, if you found a good deal on them, then good for you. :)

Hopefully you opted for "inexpensive" rather than "cheap" because cheap gauges can sometimes be just as bad as none at all. :(

where did you get your pyrometer from ed?  I was thinking about placing gauges where the air vents are on the drivers side/center to make them look oem.

by pyrometer is that another name for exhaust gas?

I bought all my gauges, less the tach, from prothe's site.

realized i had a picture taken with a better camera, here it is. It was to show the oil temp so thats why i don't have one of the other two. I will in the next month though!

Someone mentioned the angle things, autometer makes a proper bezel for just that.

I have a set on my other car, makes for a nice clean looking installation.  Their part number #2234 and run about $10.00 from Summit Racing. Maybe cheaper elsewhere??

Looks good - good luck with it!
