 Lowered MkII Jetta.  There is a surprise.... For $4100 I guess it's not bad, I'll keep what I have though.. If it was mTDI maybe but seeing the MKIV Cluster stuck in the MKII dash is just sloppy, makes me wonder about the rest of the swap and mostly the wiring. If he spent $15K on an MKII with a TDI swap I'd expect it might look a little better. Granted mine is not a TDI but, I did my swap and had the suspension and brakes done up too. Running total is something ~$2500 so far and I think it looks to be in better shape.

Not to thread Hijack....
On a semi related note, anyone else notice that with poor economy and sub $2.00 gas VW Diesel prices are doing as well as the stock market? not that I view mine as an "investment".

I keep tabs on eBay and such seems they can barely be given away now, not just NA Rabbits either, the cars that in the past had gone for a premium like 96-97 Passat Wagons and Diesel Pickups aren't going for as much as they did just months ago.

Recent Craigslist ads...
1982 Pickup w/ a 1991 Eco Engine $800 (bit rusty from the ad.)
1996 Passat  TDI $1000
1986 NA Golf Rusty $250
1998 Jetta TDI $3500 <-- not great but would have been $5000 last summer.
last couple of weeks 2 Passat TDI Wagons on ebay went for ~$5100. I haven't seen them sell for that much in a long time.

Not complaining but, it is interesting and my wife is lucky we are currently in an apartment  If I had a decent sized lot and a garage there might be a couple of new diesels around  :D

We are going to be looking to rent a house in the spring, maybe things will still be cheap.
