thought some of you guys might wanna check this out....this guy makes sweet cams for the cummins...now hes looking to get into the TDI market..

what about a AAZ 1.9 IDI? that sounds like it might help clean up my smoke?
ask for me?

does the TDI have the same cam as the 1.9 IDI?
yes on the smoke part..cams are good for cooler EGTs and quicker spool up..witch should help clean up the smoke.

i think it's the same as a 1.6 cam? somebody should chime in that knows?

The only thing different is that you must have the end of the cam machined for the vac pump if you use the AAZ cam for a newer (old now) TDI.
Waiting for a bigger better diesel to come along.

1990 Jetta TD...Its a Project! And wait...its built in Wolfsberg! swEEt - 1.6l TD = Dead... TDI ALH in the works...

I'd be in on this too....don't have a acct. through that site though. Would be more than willing to try it on the mTDI mk1 and the holset....wait....did I say holset?
