Decided that I don't necessarily need this car anymore so here it is.
The details: Its an 81 Diesel Jetta with 344,000km on the body. Its currently undergoing an engine swap in which case it will be receiving a 1.6TD. Bought it this summer for a something to drive back and forth to work in and it served that purpose well. Got me 50mpg consistently in my travels across BC.
The Good: A better engine. 2 inch down pipe. EGT and Boost Gauges in dash. Engine got new clutch, new intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, modified intake manifold (BOV welded shut), new valve cover gasket, timing belt. 13 inch Beamer basket weave wheels with winters. Roof rack. JVC Stereo with Ipod hookup. Upgraded headlight wiring. PIAA super plasma GTX H4 bulbs in bosch lenses. Sunroof!
The Bad: Little rust here and there on some of the doors and fenders, but nothing too serious. I've seen way worse. Sunroof leaks a tad, could probably use a new seal, but Im busy with the engine swap at the moment. Little loud in the passenger compartment, but bearable.
