EDIT: the bold in this post is burn_your_money. This thread was split from a recent FS post in an effort to keep the OP's thread uncluttered. It appears that the feedback section needs some revamping. Please discuss it and we can then see what we can do about it. Burn_your_money out
wow the janitor is good in this joint!
Yes it should. I've done that
well i'm not happy! what the other person did to base was not acceptable!
that guy froze his paypal account made an inconvenience for base was still be able to get his money back and i believe put base in a situation demanding his money back when he could not because of what the buyer did to his account! since been resolved it should of been a neutral thumb and not a negative thumb! and somebody P.M. me who this other guy was that did that because i don't want to do business with anybody like that! I hope you guys see it the way i do? because that looked for the longest time like no resolution was made and there was! so i think thats what the neutral thumb should be used for when something has been resolved and no need for explanations next to the thumbs well there's just not enough room for that anyways!
sorry to sidetrack the thread but this feedback does need to be fixed!
because i know base is not a bad guy! i've had a lot of late nite talks with him and have developed a good re pore with him!
thanks Duane

Yeah Tyler, he dusted off the thread derailers here
i apologize about that!
but had to take advantage of an opportunity to get some unanswered answers! base is a good guy!
Duane
I split the old thread up. Please discuss the current feedback section and let us know how we can make it more fair
Tyler I started something in here awhile age!
this should of been added here?
http://vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=13526&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=now i wonder if it would be possible if somebody clicked on a particular thumb in the feedback thread and it had the post in the posters own words why he's giving that particular feedback and it should a spot for a rebuttal or a thank you for what ever type of thumb is given too?
unless i'm missing something i have not heard or read nothing bad about base! or even know who had the problem? when somebody else here has a problem with someone pretty much all of us know the circumstances!
for example Joe and Sylvester well we got to hear both sides and were able to draw our own conclusion but anyways we all knew who was as fault there!
but it would be nice to be able to go back and see who gave the thumbs and for what reason and it would help keep track of who and who is not giving feedback for stuff iv'e sold and sent? i know my self my thumb count is not accurate! and i'm sure other's are not either?
well now lets see if we can get this resolved now that i got every bodys attention?
Duane
am i just talking to my self again? anybody care? is this thing on?

While feedback is important, there are some problems with any feedback system. Reference eBay's removal of seller's ability to leave negative feedback due to the overwhelming use of retaliatory negative feedback. Also, some people leave feedback based on their expectations, not necessarily on what was stated. Some sellers don't make things clear enough, or may just make mistakes. Another problem is people leaving no feedback for a transaction, but I guess you can't force them to. Different interpretations of words can cause problems as well. One guy's rebuildable core is another's boat anchor.
What about taking the negative thing out of the system, and just using it as a positive or "kudos" type of rating? The more positives the more likely that your experience would be good, but no guarantees. That would make it harder to warn others about a scam artist but keep guys from getting hurt by one unsatisfied buyer.
