Broken front mount

92 Jetta, less than 6 months on front mount (solid). 1.9 idi td.

What gives? do I replace with the liquid filled mount, or another solid one? Anyone recommend a better replacement?

Both my 92 TD cars arrived with broken front mounts. Common problem?
