alternator parts??
« on: October 30, 2008, 07:08:38 pm »
Where is the best place for buying voltage regulators (preferably adjustable) and rebuild stuff? Is the dealer brutally priced?

Thanks

If it is internet oriented...please post it.

No, it was just a small shop in Owen Sound, Ont. They deal in mostly import electrical parts. J&B Auto Electric (519) 370-2005.

Brody was the fellows name that I dealt with. They weren't able to get me an adjustable regulator, but I got a preset (14.5V) which he claims is upgraded from the previous ones. Myself, I have never seen a preset regulator on any Bosch alternator (A2 style) ever charge at more than 13.5V. $18 was the charge for this. He had to order it, it comes in Monday. I will keep you posted as to what it will charge at once installed.
