O-ring is all.. Loosen the bolt holding the dipstick and push down on the tube and tighten at the same time to put some pressure on the o ring.

I agree though, you probably had some venting issues..

I got 50psi@head hot. My bentley only says min 28psi@2000rpm I get about 35psi @hot 2000rpm. Not sure 'bout idle.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.
