Looks like I may be picking one up. Very solid shape, 235 K has new Greasecar kit installed. Apparently the car has some electrical problems and the kids at the Votec center gave up on it. The instructor said my offer of 800 bucks was reasonable and want's iot out of there. Man I would be all over it, hope it pans out, these things have pretty much dissapeared up here in the rust belt.
Who knows, maybe a QSW TD project will be in my future! I still have access to my old 86 QSW which is sitting in a junkyard nearby.
sounds really promising, the quantums really drove nice.

I agree. I love mine and once the suspension is upgraded I'll be even happier with the ride.
No, not a syncro, diesel quantum syncro's were never made to my knowledge (what an awsome car that would be though). I had a syncro which I can still get back from junkyard, it was an 86 and had the longer 5th gear, think a diesel would work OK with it. Anyway, for now I would just run it as is, the engine runs great and the body's pretty good, I can't even think about any other big projects right now. The folks at the tech center just do not know what it's worth, and with the electrical problems they are at a standstill, pretty pathetic class actually. The original owner is an old man who said "this thing's probably not worth much, especially since it's a diesel"
I am a big fan of Quantum's and have owned several QSW's, the longitudal cars really do drive nice, my dream car is a Tdi QSW.
Mark the miser, is that a photo shop mod or is it real?
