If anyone has the links to the 1.6/1.9 engines, hyrdo head on solid lifter block, solid lifter head on hydro block etc please post them and I'll add them.

Also any other links you think should be in there, or if a new category needs to be added, post it up.

Linking to other forums is a-ok

Posts will be deleted once they have been added.

Please let me know if there are dead links

I haven't seen this one in the homemade tools section.  For removing the nut on the top of the strut I use a deep offset box end wrench.  The following link shows a Snap-on set, but they look nearly identical to mine -- which have to be a thousand years old.  http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=334&group_ID=539&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

I'm thinking a guy could also take a cheap combo wrench, heat it up with a torch and "z" bend the box end to fit.

i took a 14mm deep socket, opened up the throat of it a bit, and cut the end of it so it had 2 notches to engage the nut on the mk2/3 strut assembly..

just forgot to add that to my home made tools section..

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

We should have a 'my car won't start', and a 'i got no history on this car, what  do I need to take care of' article.
I'm pretty sure they are both written in here somewhere.
