New Addition to the Family...

Well, it happened alot faster than I thought it would but we turned in the MKIV 1.8T of my wife's and she got a new 09 Tiguan SE...

the lowdown on it...

SE Trim Package
-Panoramic Moonroof
-Premium Sound
-All the other fancy gadgets and even some Gorilla Gear and Monster Mats this time around... (asked for them on the MKIV....didn't happen)

She wanted White Gold which they didn't have on the lot. So, this was in the showroom in Syracuse and they brought it down with a whooping 88 miles on it when we left Binghamton on Sat.
Having had bad luck with Maguire's...formerly Bill Crook's...I mean...Cook's. We went with Empire Motor Car in Binghamton this time. Hopefully, its a better experience. *Not that many in this forum are familar with the Central New York Area...but...*

First impressions are really nice. Its def the wife's car, but it is nice driving and does retain that VW feel. I'm def. happy to have a German made fleet now, no hecho in Mexico now at all. It is odd to have something so new...but then if I want old, I have plenty to choose from.

Coolness!   My wife also was looking at a tiguan.  They are supposed to be coming out with a diesel for it sometime in the future.  Is it  FWD or AWD?

Yah....diesel would be nice. I heard it was still a year away at least  A lot of rumors floating around at the moment. Some good....some bad


As for this Tiguan...its FWD. We opted for the SE but decided not to get the 4Motion package to keep the payment down a bit. We'll see how it performs... I don't anticipate a problem where we are here.
