2.0 sneak attack.

I was almost to work today, sitting at a red light listing to the radio, minding my own buisness.  I see a newer 1.8T jetta pull up behind me.  It sits there for about 10 seconds and then pulls around me into the other open lane.  It has 3 guys in it.  The one in the back looks over at me, holds his nose and gives me the P. U motion.  I guess he was reading the TDI badge.  I ignore him and wait for the light to go green.  The road was a bit damp from rain so I waited until I was going about 10mph until I stomped on it in 1st.  Turbo was spinning up hard.  I shifted the 2.0 at about 4300 into 2nd and broke the tires loose until traction control kicked in.  Same shift point into 3rd.
The other driver had not really gotten on it hard until I had the jump on him and he was waaaay back.  I waited at the next light as they came rolling up along side again.  This time all 3 of them looked over.  Guy in the back seat gave me the quick nod and thumbs up.    Both guys in front gave me the nod as well.  They turned off and I went on to work.
Not really a smoking , but definetly a little respect getting for the diesel.
