oil in the coolant. that's not good. 92 diesel golf would be a 1.6. The blocks were good on those ones (not like the 1.5s with the cracking block problem). If you're lucky it's the head gasket.
Try to catch all the oil and see how much more turns up. I've got some pretty wierd looking floaters in my coolant but I've learned to put up with them.

Steve anyway to clean it. I don't have a radiator cap, i fill the radiator trought the overflow. Would it be a good idea to do a radiator flush.
Speaking: Flushes have been discussed here quite a few times so it's best to do a search. Another option is to buy a new overflow bottle but it will eventually get filled by stuff that's still moving around in the engine.

radiator flush is pretty easy. I do mine with the hose. Pull off the top and bottom hoses on the rad and put a hose in the top. Water will come out the bottom (eventually). So will dead spiders (never did figure out how they got in there) and lots of other stuff (like rusted metal, sludgy stuff, etc). Do the same to the engine by putting a garden hose in the big coolant hose that goes to the rad and removing the thermostat from the water pump, then flushing out the engine.
