You guys are [pardon my french] flipping nuts...

I would never try to out run the cops... Isn't evading the cops a huge felony?

like just ludacris...

the ticket is several times larger and they revoke your license...

How can that justify the means?

but... you are not me for one, and are probably not nearly as crazy.
and i have a problem with the authority around here.
and yes, its a HUGE felony. 10000 dollar ticket, car gets towed, you go to jail. and the way i justify it. if i get pulled over, there is a 100% chance i will get a ticket, but theres a slightly better chance that i will out run him and get away. im one of those people that knows the absolute limits of their vehicle and can drive it to those limits. and as for them revoking your lisence, yea, they can do that. i dont exactly have a drivers lisence. they already suspended it. and its gonna be gone for a really long time. ive since changed the color of my car, and also changed my driving habits. i try to stay out of the rpms now. keeping it under like 3 grand draws much less attn.

the RCMP... and at 11:30 at night you meet in on a 2 lane high going 170+ they hit the lights, do a U turn ... and stop chasing because your long gone...

The only time i'd ever consider having any success out running the cops would be on a bike. and likely in a major city where i could just duck into an alley way. I've seen cops here on the highway take chase and i'll be going 110 and they WERE going 110 a moment ago but you can hear the super charger screaming and they get up to a ludicrous speed in a matter of like 4 seconds.

So, Rabbit on Roids, you have a 100% chance of getting a $110 ticket or say (or even $300), i'll you the benefit of the doubt here and say you have a 5% chance of out running the cops, a 95% chance of getting a $10,000 ticket... vs a ticket that is at MOST 1/10th as much. and basically a warrant since you already don't have a license.

...
..
.

but i guess you're a little more "low key" now opposed to ...what ever you got into trouble for in the first place.

Around here they don't use any supercharged cars, just plain Police interceptors, and Yes they can go up to 250...Find a cop thats willing to bring it passed 170-180 on a 2 lane highway...

see, thats what im saying.. they dont have the balls to go fast. or to learn the limits of their cars.

and eddy, laws are slightly different here. if i get pulled over, my car gets impounded (400 bucks) and i get a nice big fat 900 dollar ticket. and oh yea, forgot to say that it adds another year to my suspension. so, yea.. ill take my chances and run. i dont really leave my home town now that im not legal to drive. so if a cop trys to chase me. he doesnt have a chance. they have no wheres near the experience on these roads that i do. i dont look at it as im crazy, im just confident in my driving abilities.

another reason why cops won't chase you is that if you were to get in an accident or kill someone, they need a very good reason, or they are in big crap.  the only time they will pursue someone at high speed is if they did something big like robbery or have a warrant, etc.  BUT if you run from the cops enough, pretty soon they'll be on the lookout for you and probably chase you just out of spite.

where i live they have a chopper but i think it can only fly for a few hours before needing a fuel up, so having a nice fuel efficient car makes all the difference... unless they bust out the spike strip!

so while i don't condone what you do rabbit on roids, i'm glad you're keeping it 'low key'.  as it would suck if they got ya.

better pull out the tremclad and rotate colours every so often

does anyone remember the x-files episode where those sci fi geeks in the old vw van had a licence plate changer?  it was soo ghetto but at least they squealed the tires on the van (which is probaby impossible with the stock engine    )

well the section of highway i use to run on a regular bases (the one I kept meeting cops on) they only chase maybe 2km and if your showing no signs of letting up they stop because 4 years ago they chased a guy i knew down because of a burnt tailight on his street bike. he lost control and plowed into a rock face....the cops got INTO BIG *** for that one...

Justice system is screwed up these days. busted tail, stop and get the ticket or warning. he would have been on his marry un-cripple or un-dead way. it should be like how it used to be. He creamed the rock.. cops saw it as his punishment and left him there. Now the guy on the bike sues for being pursued into a rock face.. or some bs like that.. Wth? lol why did he run for a burnt tail?

You guys are still crazy, anyway you cut it. if your not crazy now, you were crazy then for whatever you did to start havoc. I understand you can take your car to its limits, but what happens when the 30 something dad of 4 can't? and you collide? There is no way to justify your actions. Sorry. its black and white. you are bad men. :P:P:P

No they guy didn't sue...he died on impact...and the cops didn't call for anything they left, i know that for a fact. I don't bring my car up to its limit in the day, I use to do it late at night when I knew nobody drives on those highways. I don't drive like that anymore...The last time i brought my car up that high I blew the motor in my poor car... :x

no no no. i dont let cops chase me where theres cops around. cause i pretty much have to put my rabbit on to drive it. im 6'7" and actually can squeeze into one. but thats on a side note. just saying that i dont ever want to crash one. and what is a family and their kids doing in my lane? i never go into the on coming lane unless i know im safe. ive had enough close calls to know whats dumb and whats not. im not stupid, or a bad man or whatever you have to say. im safe, even when im doing something illegal. i have NEVER been in a wreck that was my fault. if you lived here, you would know what i mean. ive had problems with the cops since i was 15. first time i got pulled over, it was for no reason other than i was an in-experienced driver. and i have painted the rabbit since the last time i got in trouble. it got treated to a flat black paint job, different wheels, and when i get home from alaska im probably going to tint the windows. or i could just say hell with it and build a engine for my Yetta. its already painted nice and has tint. and it handles like a MOTHER.

oh yea, i even went so far as to put a muffler on my car. its the only car in the county that actually sounds like its got a turbo. and the cops knew it. im still scared to death to drive where i got my tickets tho. i have 4 different sets of cops to deal with here. and in the last 3 months, ive had to deal with zero cops.
