Can anyone explain the modifications needed on the throttle leverage arm to make a AAZ pump more TDI friendly?
The search tool is your friend. There are tons of m-TDI articles here.

Hmmm. I guess I will stick with the AAZ pump idea until I actually get a TDI engine together and enough money for Tintin or Giles to set it up for me. From what I have read, the actually pump housing needs to be machined to allow more travel from the lever as well as shaving the advance piston.
I don't think I want to play with that right now and destroy a pump (unless it's a 1.6TD pump, then I have no problem destroying it! ).
The pump housing modification is only a discution with my modfied lever.
The Bosch pumps parts (lever) are very expensive, and a proper DI lever cost me around what I charge to built an entire pump, thus I prefer using the way of modified lever, that cost me 1 hour of my time and ''0'' material.
There is another way witch is to buy used ''DI'' european pumps, but the euro is very expensive too, a good pump + ship cost around 400-500$ converted in CDN$ + I need to modifie these pumps anyway, which takes more time.
If people are ready to pay 1000$ and up for a real ''DI'' (M-pump), I can surely import a dozen of it, but what I saw, between 400-600$ is within the limits that people are willing to pay.
