where my dip stick gose into the block its leaking is there a fix? where can i buy a fix or even a new one? and also how would you remove it thanks dan
If you unbolt the bracket, at the top,
you can pretty much pull the dipstick
tube straight out.
There is a seal Pt#N90032203 and a
washer Pt#076 115 643 at the bottom
of the dipstick that should be re-newed.
Make sure you clean the area where the
seal seats.
It may also help to add a little RTV sealant.
Do you know if this can be had aftermarket, or is it a dealer only item?
N90032204 : 0.91c round seal 7,3x2,4
076115643 : 1.05€ washer 8,1x11,7
thats all the info I got from etka, the N90032204 replaces the N90032203 that has been discontinued.
there should be a O-ring with that dimensions, and the washer is reusable, so if necessary there should be an after market source.
Not sure if this is at all the right way to do it, but mine was leaking last year, and I removed it cleaned the area off with a rag, put a small bead of high-temp silicone sealant around the o-ring and reinstalled the dipstick. I let it sit for 24 hours, and I haven't had a drip since.
Or, is his blow-by becoming evident?
true
But mine was still leaking badly after I put new rings in. after I took it apart, cleaned it up, and used a little high temp silicone, all was better.
i work at a auto parts store and i cant seem to find a ring for that so i think im going to do what Mtnbob says. But if i do remove the dip stick will that little rubber gasket fall into the block? or will it be stuck to the dip stick? also what kind of silicone did you use? i cleaned up all the oil and that seems to be the only place leaking and where i live there not happy about the nice black oil leaking lol :x also if you guys have any pic's of what you have done would be awesome thanks guys dan
It was pretty straightforward. Clean off all around the bottom of the dipstick. Unbolt the dipstick from the engine.Pull the dipstick straight up and out. Not sure how yours will be, but my o-ring was on the dipstick, under a ridge. clean around it and put a thin coat of hi-temp silicone above and below it and reinstall. Let sit at least 24 hours before starting engine. That's about it as far as I remember. Been a year or so on mine, still leak free.
alright just finished it got that high temp silicone all in there now have to wait 24 hours :x but i hope that fixed the problem from what i could see that little o ring did not exist anymore lol
