Dealing with Sludge
« Reply #15 on: August 10, 2008, 10:26:16 pm »
They wouldn't lend me a pan to change the oil in my motorcycle at the Canadian Tire in Yellowknife once.  The shop manager said they couldn't accept it because they didn't know what I'd put in it and it would "contaminate" their used oil bin.

But they would happily charge me to change the oil, and dump it in their bin.

Ok, fine.  so I went into the store, grabbed a bunch of plastic bags, some rags, 3L of oil and in front of the window outside the service desk while he watched drained my oil into the bags, filled it with the new oil, tied it, held it up so he could see and set it down next to the garbage can and rode away.
