Ever Heard of "Osvat" Valves?
« on: August 14, 2008, 01:12:22 pm »
Most of the int. & exh. Valves
I've bought are "TRW", but some
   suppliers offer valves made by
   "Osvat".

Are these any good, bad, indifferent?

   Know anything about them?

   Thanks

You could try their website.

'06 Golf TDI traded in for a '12 Jeep Rubicon (the Phatbox is available)
'91 Jetta TD, a work in progress (I'll do a build thread when I start in earnest)
'65 Notchback, a project not yet started

They're good. I prefer TRW, but Osvat makes the aftermarket valves for the 1.8T. So, they've gotta be good.

Well, thank you both for your responses.

I notice that AutohausAZ and Altrom both sell
the "Osvat" valves. They're significantly cheaper
  than the TRW valves.

I bought the TRW valves because I, foolishly
subscribe to the theory that the more it costs
the better it is...a non sequitur if ever there
  was one  :) .

  Thanks again for your responses.
