Needed: 1.6L TD Oil Filter Flange
« on: July 26, 2008, 11:29:57 am »
I just figured out after buying the overpriced 15 dollar fitting for the turbo oil line (@ dealer of course)  that it wasn't the fitting that was leaking oil. I discovered that its the threads in the oil filter flange that are stripped...now the fitting won't tighten properly   :(

Anyone out there with a oil filter flange for sale for a 1.6L IDI? If so, let me know! I live in Victoria, BC, Canada.

I just had the same thing happen. luckily I had a spare mount.

One thing I considered was getting an AN adapter that would allow me to drill and tap the mount to the next size and still give me the correct threads for the OE line.
Summit sells quite an assortment and I'm sure they would ship to you, they probably have a depot in your country already.

I may go ahead and do this anyway so I still have a spare.
