Oh, and I went to the dealer and asked them to look at a diagram of the fuel system so I could locate and drain the water seperator and after going thru several schematics we could not locate it and they say the 06 doesn't have one?!

Looks like someone may being making a trip to the dealer for an explanation and a refund!!!!

The water separator is combined with the fuel filter. There is really no need to drain it because there is never any water in there. I don't know why VW continues to mention it in their maintenance schedule.

I think it has become very clear! The dealer is a scam and the owners manual/schedule maintance is bull. Thanks guys. I guesss I'll be trying to figure out how to keep this little car healthy.

see this..
http://www.vw.com/dealer/MaintenanceSchedulesQuery.do?year=2006&engineCode=1.9LTDI&carModel=JETTA&TEMPLATENAME=maintenanceComplete&output=print

On all PD's
Oil changes are every 10k, fuel filter is every 20k, Air filter is every 40k

Timing belt is 80k per the serice sheet I linked, but on mk4's its 100k.

Also, the oil you need to use is available from retailers. It's 505.01 spec.
It's specific for the PD motor.. I can supply or you could buy it from Jim at dieselgeek.com in Castle Hills, TX or any other TDI online vendor.

Get away from the dealer, they are screwing you like it's your first time...

mike_w, the timing belt change interval was revised in 2007 to 80K miles.  My owners manual states 100K miles but the revised maintenance schedule my dealer has from VWOA states 80K miles.  The maintenance schedule for 2004 TDI's states a check at 80K miles and replacement at 100K miles.

Yeah, if I still lived in Dallas I would have had Rob from rononbeer.com do it.
