Is any one know of anyone running an inline style injection pump on performance type engine? Just curious seems to me it would flow alot of fuel probably too much.
Thanks Joe

I don't see a reason to re-engineer the current system. The VE pump is capable of delivering more fuel than you can burn once you install a larger pump and mess with the governor.

I had mine flow tested at a local shop and the shop owner called me to ask what the he** I had done to my pump.. It was delivering twice the fuel it was set at from the factory before the boost was applied..
When I was running that pump I could hit 40psi   Poor rods were crying I'll bet...

I have thought about this too. But it just doesn't seem worth while when the VE was used on the 4BT's. So, if you use those internals you should be able to push way more than enough fuel. But, I have looked at teh possiblity of using a small Bosch A pump. The P-pump would just be overkill.

and a girdle!

oh and if trying to mount an inline pump to a vw 4 cyl motor, forget it.  wayyyyyyyy too much crap to deal with to make it remotely worthwhile.

if you have the money to blow and just want something unique, then go for it.

what types of motors came with a 4 cyl inline pump? did the 1.9L mercedes diesels come with an inline pump???

HaHa, how did the pistons hold up, did it do any damage to them or haven't you had it apart since then?  I'm just wondering what it takes to hurt one of these little creatures :D
