So just scored a 1.9l industrial NA i think code ADG. Came with the frame ,controls etc. I'm gonna put it my kombi but i can't find out what the difference is between it and a regular 1.9 l NA . i know they had them in europe [1Y and or AEF codes i think] but is it just a different IP ? There must be someone else who's converted one for their vehicle.
pretty sure i heard someone mention that the governor is different... probably some other pieces inside the pump as well.
After lots of digging it seems the only difference is the IP. No problem, i'll just send it to Giles so he can do his magic. Nice thing about this engine is that apparently it already has the tdi crank and pulley on it. I'm dismantling it more tomorrow to find the engine code and to look at the pulley and remove the IP. It even already has a fitted hole in the exhaust manifold for an EGT !
Industrial engines tended to have single-speed governors on them... might need to send a governor assembly off with it.
