ultra sonic water vapor intake?

so i was driving to work today after it had finished raining and there was still a slight drizzle.  I think many people on here have noticed how much better our cars perform in the rain.  then i got to work and was finishing up a repair on a nouvag ultra sonic nebulizer, which is pretty much a little cup with a transducer thing in the bottom that vibrates at 1.7mhz and makes the water turn into a mist, and on these medical ones you can adjust them up and down to make the mist heavy and light.  so i am thinking maybe a water holding box with a few transducer in the bottom would add a very nice fog to the incoming air, and perhaps more power.  i'll have to look into how much these cost and whether a vws electrical system could keep up with the transducers, and also whether or not it could put enough h20 in the charge air to make a difference.

water injector or misting is a great idea for all engines. 'steam cleans' the inside   and reduces the charge air temps as well.  i've a system that i will be hooking up pretty soon.

if you decide to do it, make sure that you turn off the water mist, then shut down the engine after another minute to make sure that its all 'purged' so you don't get any condensation issues.

yeah my idea isn't orginal at all haha, heres a guy that did it on a van, exact same idea that i had.  if i can get a fogger cheap i'll try it how ever i am worried that maybe the compression ratio on our cars is too high for this.

I've been quite interested in this topic lately.  water/alcohol injection can increase fuel economy significantly, while also lowering egts and cleaning the engine.  This guy on youtube claimed to get 50-60 mpg on a 4cyl gas engine with water/alcohol injection.  search youtube "water injection"  you can also read about it on wikipedia:

I plan on taking a trip across canada this summer and I am definitely going to try this out on my car.  I'll post results

water/meth/windshield washer fluid (-45C type  ) is good at 'steam cleaning' the engine to get rid of EGR buildup.
