hey there, ive just joined up as ive been in to dubs for a while but just recently purchased a 1996 golf van 1.9 diesel. its nwo on coilovers, gti kit, vr6 interior and a set of 17" oz superturismos, next on the list is a full respray followed by the engine. I would like a turbo but i am undecided on the route to go, either to put a turbo on the existing engine or to find another 1.9 tdi and put that in it. could someone advise me on the differences if there are any as id be using stock parts for now and any easy performance mods that i should do, also is there anyone local to me who i could speak to for advice and maybe a little help? i am mechanicaly competant but havent much experience working on diesels before
