AAZ turbo diesel into MK2 jetta
« on: May 19, 2008, 06:16:59 pm »
i was wondering if the engine mounts were the same or if i have to do some fabrication to make it fit right in the engine bay? and what all i have to do to the gas lines and tank so i can convert it to diesel? Im doing complete mechanical(no ecu) so could i get away with adjusting the mechanical fuel pump, getting an intercooler, and maybe adjusting the wastegate to get a little bit more power?
Also what should i do about a gauge cluster, use my gasser or get diesel tach?
Any suggestions and/or info would be very helpful!
Thanx :)

It does bolt in, and if you do a search and take the time to sift through all the threads that come up you'll see that both of these conversions have been done a few times.

Also, the FAQ section has an excellent link to making your car faster.
