Just wanted to give you guys the heads up on some turbo mech pumps on e-bay. These are rebuilt 12mm pumps used on the cummins 4BT(4cyl.) & I have read that they would be suitable for TDI mechanical application. They are all right rotation(same as vw) w/ the 20mm drive shaft & have the big 12mm plunger/head to properly operate the TDI injectors. From what I understand, would just have to mod the gov. for more rpms, since the 4BT. operates in a lower rpm range.
BTW, if you don't already know, the 6th digit of the Bosch pump # indicates the plunger size(9 for 9mm, 0-10mm, 1-11mm, 2 for12mm) & the 7th digit the application(4 for 4cyl., 6 for 6cyl., etc.)

BTW, did you find a mechanical pump for your TDI project?
found one...but decided to keep the car as a whole.
I think I am going to sell off the car for a tidy profit and then buy a wrecked TDI or the like for the whole setup as an electronic TDI.
I think an electronic TDI with the new DSG tranny found only in the NB's would be a very nice combo in the Caddy!!!!

BTW, i have tried several times to deal with that seller, IMO he is quite shady and i personally would not deal with him.
