Pistons & Rods?

Joe:

Once again, thanks for some good advice.  Yes, I had forgotten that Raceware was even in the game - mostly because for me ARP is a matter of familiarity.

Re rods & VE:  I think we will have pushed this particular engine into the "need the rods" area with this round of mods.  My overall strategy is usually to try to build things as close to bulletproof as I can, since I enjoy building things ONCE, and really hate going back in for any reason.  Just a lazy/crazy old fart.

truly understand... Do it Once...Do it Right is how I think of it, thats how I usually build my motors, etc. Though, H-beams weren't and option for the mk1 mTDI build when I did it a few years back...
Now...if I turned the motor up more....yah, I'd start thinking about them...but the stock rods are doing a nice job at the moment. Def. something in the future though...

Raceware is great. I personally prefer their product, but last time I checked they didn't have rod bolts yet....Yet....being the key word there.

Very nice...amazing what a few years does for the "quality" aftermarket parts market...

A few years ago...something like this wasn't available (Except overseas for the most part....Allard to name one...)

My quarterly (or so) Bildon order shipped last week, but I strongly suspect these are the same rods that Charlie is selling.  Will check with them today.
