Single stage injectors for high-power TDI?
« on: March 24, 2008, 12:07:02 pm »
Anyone thought of this yet?  Just wondering how this might work.  If the dual-stage injectors are on a TDI mainly for economy and noise reduction, would there be an advantage on a single-stage injector?  I would think that a single stage injection period would allow more flexibility at higher RPM's, as the duration of one single injection event would be shorter than two, allowing potentially more timing and more RPM's.  Yay or Nay?

So there is a single-stage injector body already that fits the TDI?  Interesting.  Will really be curious to see what happens!  Would setting up the timing be any different on a single-stage injector?

Interesting to see if it will be any louder with these as well.  ;)

I don't see why you couldn't just modify the stock injector to be single stage.
