Retorque Q's
« on: April 29, 2008, 09:41:51 pm »
So ive upgraded to the 1.9 metal headgasket and new stock headbolts (1.6TD in a 91 jetta).
Im coming up on the 1000km final retorque the Bentley says is required.

But i had a thought, and since i do not have 1.9 torque specs, i was curious if the metal headgasket follows the same procedure as the stock fiberous one.
Since this is my first headgasket swap on a diesel (and my daily), i just want to make sure its 100% !

Good for you for checking... the Bentley says the metal 1.9 gasket does not get re-torqued.
