what kind of insurance should I be looking at for a GTD Golf - I got a really nasty quote from Norwich - they quoted me higher for a GTD than for a GTI of the same vintage - how screwed up is that
I was paying about £300 at 22 tpf+t with ecar, that was with 5 points, 3 ncd and no accidents/claims
Im on £560 fully comp, thats a years NCB AND a £75k "incident", andt thats through HIC
I discussed this with a few companies and nearly all come up like this - "the vehicle description has the word TURBO in it - so its a sports car and has higher numbers - numbers close to 1600 pounds
yeah right - a little too much binging eh?
Ecar have given me a sensible quote of 450 going to opt for that
I always use
www.confused.com for insurance - usually throws up som interesting options.
failing that might be worth checking out some specialist classic insurance companies...
