tdc marks on flyweel

i know I havent seen that diamond, but the timing line wasnt near any bolts....

I dont think that's the right mark but i could be wrong!

if you swapped a 210mm flywheel,the mark is no longer correct,its about 1/2 inch off,,,you have to  verify tdc+remark the fw

I'll second this comment.

I had a 210mm and couldn't get it to idle to save my life, changed back to the 200mm for other reasons and decided to check my timing and dayum!
It was set at .038 (ish)mm no wonder it wouldn't idle.

how does one know where to re-mark when putting on the 210mm?

Your looking at the cam lobes or?/// what if someones timing belt was off..?

I pulled an injector and turned the crank till it was @ TDC then marked the flywheel..

Pull injector #1 or #4 since they are pairing cylinders

good call, can be kinda tricky somtimes to know when it's all the way up but that's so true....

:idea: This may sound obvious but ... why not rest your 210mm flywheel on top of the 200mm flywheel. Skewer with a couple of dowels [do the bolt holes go all the way through]  Else just do it by teeth and allignment tool Mark the timing mark to suit.

I have a 1993 1.9 TD with an engine from a '95 and I just removed the pump. It was working beautyfully and the timing make was the same as the very first picture in this thread (the line not diamond).
